Reflecting Functions

How do I reflect functions?

In this post, we are given the graph of y = f(x) , and we will sketch the respective y = -f(x) and y = f(-x) and y = -f(-x)  graphs using reflections in the x and   y-axes. This is part of the Prelim Maths Advanced course under the topic Working with Functions and sub-part Further Functions and Relations, specifically focusing on reflecting functions.

The following three videos will help you understand how to reflect functions, through clear explanations by expanding on topics you already know.

Part 1: Setting up an example

Part 2: Graphing y = f(-x)

Part 3: Graphing y = -f(x)
