Differentiating the Exponential Function

How do I differentiate the exponential function?

In this post, we apply the differentiation rules to functions involving the exponential function, f(x) = ke^{ax} , where k and a are constants, as a part of the Prelim Maths Advanced course under the topic Exponential and Logarithmic Functions and sub-part The Exponential Function and Natural Logarithms, specifically focusing on differentiating the exponential function.

The following two videos cover a range of examples of exponential functions, and how to differentiate each one. The first video covers a wide variety of functions for a better understanding of Euler’s number, and the second video gives an easy way to understand how to differentiate the exponential function.
