Composite Functions

What are Composite Functions?

In this post, we define and use the composite function f(g(x)) of functions f(x) and g(x) where appropriate and identify the domain and range of a composite function. This is part of the Prelim Maths Advanced course under the topic Working with Functions and sub-part Introduction to Functions, specifically focusing on composite functions. A composite function is a function inside a function, or a function made up of another function, where the output of one is the input of another.

Examples of composite functions

This video covers a large range of composite function examples, perfect to understand how composite functions work, and how they can be solved.
