​Similar Figures and the Linear Scale Factor is a part of the VCE Further Maths topic Geometry and Measurement. Similar figures have the same shape and the following properties:

  • corresponding proportional sides
  • corresponding angles of equal size

The size or enlargement of similar figures can be described using a linear scale factor.
