Angles of Elevation and Depression is a part of the VCE Further Maths topic Geometry and Measurement. Angles of elevation are an angle that is measured upwards from the ground or horizontal line. Angles of Depression are angles measured downwards from the horizontal. These angles can be used to find the horizontal and vertical distance of one object from another. They can also be used to calculate the height or length of an object, such as a building, tree or ladder.
