Euler’s Formula for Planar Graphs is a part of the VCE Further Maths topic Networks and Decision Mathematics. Euler’s Formula states that:
Number of vertices + Number of faces – Number of edges = 2
This formula is applicable to any planar graph.
What is a Planar Graph?
Watch this video for an introduction to planar graphs. It also introduces isomorphic graphs and how to draw graphs in planar form.
What is Euler’s Theorem?
This next video will give us the basis of the theorem and how to use it.
