Bivariate Data is simply data that has two variables, a dependent and an independent variable. Sometimes when we are given data, we find that there is a correlation between two variables, such as the score they achieve on a test and the amount of hours they spent studying. The following video introduces what bivariate data is and an example in HSC Standard Math.
The following video explains the concept of dependent and independent variables further, however, takes a scientific approach. Nevertheless, they are the same by definition.
