What is a quadratic function?

A quadratic function is a curve with the form y=ax^2+bx+c (a,b,c are numbers). The quadratic formula when graphed makes a parabola. The following video discusses how quadratic functions are formed and the key features of a parabola including; vertex, axis of symmetry, y-intercept, x-intercepts, domain, range, minimum and maximum value in HSC Standard Math.
