Protein Functions and Nature of Proteomes is a part of the VCE Biology area of study ‘How Do Cellular Processes Work?’ and subtopic ‘Nucleic Acids and Proteins’.

Proteins perform many functions in the body. They provide structure and act as enzymes carriers and hormones. They are responsible for nearly every task within the body. A proteome is the entire set of proteins that is expressed by a genome, tissue or organism at a certain time.
