The Process of Endocytosis is a part of the VCE Biology area of study ‘How Do Cellular Processes Work?’ and subtopic ‘Plasma Membranes’.
Endocytosis is a mechanism of cellular transport that moves molecules, parts and whole cells into a cell. There are different types of endocytosis, which include:
- Phagocytosis: the process by which large particles are transported into a cell.
- Pinocytosis: the process by which the cell gains molecules required for extracellular fluid.
So What is Endocytosis?
This video explains the above concepts in more detail.
