Cycling of Coenzymes is a part of the VCE Biology area of study ‘How do Cellular Processes work?’ and subtopic ‘Biochemical Pathway Regulations’. There are lots of different coenzymes, such as NAD, NADP and FAD. These are involved in hydrogen or oxidation transfer. They cannot themselves catalyse a reaction but they can help enzymes to do so. They bind to the enzyme to make it active.
