What are some examples of relative motion of objects in two dimensions?
In this post, we analyse the relative motion of objects in two dimensions in a variety of situations, as a part of the Prelim Physics course under the module Kinematics and sub-part Motion on a Plane. Some real-life examples of relative motion in two dimensions are:
- A boat on a flowing river relative to the bank
- Two moving cars
- An aeroplane in a crosswind relative to the ground
