Long Division with Polynomials

Now that we know a little bit about polynomials and functions, we can start to understand how we can express them using factors and remainders. In the same way that integers have factors, which we find by dividing, we can apply to polynomials. This is part of the Prelim Maths Extension 1 Syllabus from the topic Functions: Polynomials. In this post, we will explore Remainder and factor theorems, long division. Here we will learn to describe the process of division using the terms: dividend, divisor, quotient, remainder.
