Sketching Inverse Functions

When sketching inverse functions we can use both the original graph and equation to determine what the inverse function will look like. This is part of the Prelim Maths Extension 1 Syllabus from the topic Functions: Further, Work with Functions. In this post, we will explore graphical relationships and sketching inverse functions. In particular, we will explore how to examine the relationship between the graph of = () and the graph of = 1/() and then sketch it. Let’s begin with an introduction to inverse functions.
