Jasmine is a talented and dedicated individual who has made significant contributions in the field of netball umpiring. Her achievement of the National B Umpiring Badge and subsequent selection to umpire for Netball NSW demonstrate her exceptional skills and commitment to the sport.

Jasmine’s umpiring journey has taken her to various locations throughout NSW, where she umpired week-long netball carnivals and represented NSW at a national level. Despite her young age, Jasmine’s remarkable talent and dedication earned her a place on the umpiring team, showcasing her exceptional abilities and passion for the sport.

In recognition of her outstanding performance, Jasmine was selected for the prestigious Elite Umpires Program, which allows her to work towards her International A Badge. This opportunity not only highlights her talent but also provides her with the chance to refine her skills and strive for excellence in umpiring.

Through her umpiring achievements, Jasmine has developed essential qualities that go beyond the netball court. One of these qualities is self-confidence. Umpiring requires split-second decision-making, particularly at the elite level, and Jasmine’s experience has honed her ability to trust her judgement and back herself, even in challenging situations. This invaluable skill will undoubtedly serve her well in her future endeavours.

Alongside her achievements in netball umpiring, Jasmine has demonstrated resilience in the face of personal challenges. Dealing with family issues and struggling with mental health during Year 11 and 12, Jasmine has shown tremendous strength and determination to persevere and continue pursuing her goals. Seeking professional support and working through these challenges, she exemplifies resilience and a commitment to personal growth.

Looking ahead, Jasmine aims to pursue a career in Sports Sciences, with a focus on becoming a Sports Physio or Sports Performance Coach. Her passion for sports, combined with her firsthand experience as an umpire and athlete, will undoubtedly contribute to her success in this field. Jasmine’s diverse skill set, including her involvement as a Social Justice Rep and SRC Rep, showcases her leadership abilities and commitment to making a positive impact in her community.
