What makes Anushka a Trailblazer?

Anushka is an exceptional individual who has harnessed the power of the internet to create positive change. With her self-built website, “Embodiments of Anushka Singh,” she addresses important topics such as racism, poetry, art, and South Asian awareness. Inspired by the prominence of South Asian racism and a lack of awareness, Anushka decided to use her website as a platform to educate and enlighten others. Through her dedication and hard work, Anushka’s website has become a valuable resource that not only raises awareness but also promotes understanding and inclusivity.

The impact of Anushka’s website has been significant, with individuals both within and outside of her school expressing gratitude and admiration for her work. By fearlessly tackling important subjects, Anushka has become a voice for those who feel unheard or unseen, particularly among little South Asian girls. Her aspiration to inspire rather than focusing on monetary gain highlights her selfless and compassionate nature.

Building and managing a website single-handedly is no small feat, especially for a high school student. Throughout the process, Anushka has learned valuable skills in leadership, responsibility, and safe networking. Her ability to navigate the online community with maturity and professionalism has prepared her for the challenges she may face in the wider society and university life.

Anushka’s journey to success has not been without challenges. As a first-generation Australian of Fijian Indian descent, she has faced the lack of opportunities and representation for her community. However, she remains grateful for the support of her hardworking parents, who have always prioritised her education. Her father’s struggle with speech as an immigrant has inspired her to pursue a career in speech and hearing pathology, where she can make a positive impact on the lives of others.

In addition to her online endeavours, Anushka actively engages in leadership roles within her school community. As an SRC leader, LOVE leader, and head leader of the Newspaper press, she exemplifies her commitment to making a difference. Furthermore, her involvement in volunteer work through Sathya Sai International Organization and her part-time job at Roach Busters Pest Control Services demonstrate her dedication to serving others and gaining diverse experiences.

Anushka’s determination, resilience, and passion for social impact make her a true Trailblazer. Her ability to address important societal issues through her website showcases her visionary mindset and her desire to create positive change. With her leadership skills, compassionate nature, and dedication to helping children worldwide, Anushka is poised to make a significant impact in the field of speech and hearing pathology. Anushka rightfully earns her place among our Top 50 Trailblazers!
