  • Auditioning for The Society Academy Mega Crew and attending World of Dance this year.
  • Dedicated up to 10 hours a week to extra training rehearsals, pushing the boundaries of dance and redefining its representation.
  • Engaged in various activities, including dance (hip hop, contemporary, ballet), swim squad, swim teaching, babysitting, and trial shifts to become a squad coach.

What makes Amelie a Trailblazer?

Amelie is a trailblazer who has left an indelible mark on the world of dance. As a dedicated dancer, she has auditioned for The Society Academy Mega Crew and secured a spot at the prestigious World of Dance event. Her commitment to pushing the boundaries of dance and redefining its representation is evident in the countless hours she devotes to extra training rehearsals.

Amidst her dance journey, Amelie encountered a challenging knee injury. However, her unwavering determination and positive mindset allowed her to overcome the setback and continue excelling in her craft. Amelie’s resilience and ability to find positivity even in difficult circumstances have become an inspiration to others.

Academic challenges have also shaped Amelie’s journey. This affected her focus during exams, resulting in decreased marks and impacting her overall predicted ATAR. Despite these obstacles, Amelie remains driven to succeed and has already seen improvements in her Year 12 performance. Her ability to persevere in the face of adversity showcases her resilience and determination to achieve her goals.

Beyond her dance and academic pursuits, Amelie has demonstrated leadership qualities throughout her educational journey. As head girl of her primary school and class captain in Year 8, she has shown a natural ability to lead and inspire others.

Amelie’s involvement in extracurricular activities extends beyond dance and academics. She actively participates in various activities, including hip hop, contemporary, and ballet. Additionally, her passion for swimming led her to join the swim squad, where she further hones her skills. Amelie’s dedication to giving back is evident through her work as a swim teacher, teaching children at Gnarabup beach during the holidays. She has also taken on babysitting responsibilities and is currently completing trial shifts to become a squad coach.

Looking ahead, Amelie aspires to pursue a career in political science, dietetics, or sports physiotherapy. Her diverse interests and experiences will undoubtedly contribute to her success in these fields. Amelie’s trailblazing spirit, coupled with her resilience, leadership abilities, and dedication to making a positive impact, positions her as a remarkable individual on the path to achieving her dreams.
