The Trailblazer Awards celebrates Year 11 and Year 12 students beyond their ATAR, recognising those who have overcome personal challenges and used their final year of school to positively impact their community.

  • Volunteered at U4C Martial Arts gym for the past 2 years, helping younger children build confidence and learn self-defence.
  • Became a swimming instructor and trained to become a lifeguard, saving two lives while teaching a swimming class.
  • Volunteered 1080 hours at the gym, serving over 120 students daily and assisting in increasing customer and student enrolment.
  • Taught a total of 320 hours of swimming classes to all ages in the community, aiming to create a positive difference for the future.
  • Currently a prefect in the Student Representative Council at school.

Displaying remarkable bravery, he saved a drowning child and even went beyond his responsibilities to assist a struggling adult in the pool. Ahmed’s quick thinking, instinct, and selflessness in the face of adversity exemplify his strong character and commitment to the well-being of others.

Outside of his volunteer work and swimming achievements, Ahmed demonstrates his passion for personal development and physical fitness. He actively participates in various martial arts classes, further honing his skills and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. These qualities not only contribute to his own well-being but also ensure that he can positively impact his community in the future.
