It’s really easy when you’re goal-driven to never celebrate your wins.
You’re so focused on your goal and working hard, and rather than celebrate, you keep on going towards the big picture goal!
And this is good in some senses, but it can also be really dangerous because by not taking the time to celebrate your wins, you can start to burn out and hit a wall.
On the other hand, this doesn’t mean once you get a great result or achieve a goal you can just relax and forget about working hard.
This is also dangerous because you stop doing the work, you lose momentum and consistency and your results start to decline.
When you have a win during the HSC, you need to be celebrating it in a particular way.
Let’s find out how to do it:
So, how should you be celebrating your HSC wins?
You really have two choices once you have a win during the HSC – you relax or you celebrate and keep going.
Want you want to be doing is to celebrate, and then keep moving forward and not losing momentum.
Celebrating is an opportunity to reward yourself, recognise your hard work but on the basis that you come back and keep doing the hard work that put you there.
What I encourage you to do is to…
Think about what your celebration is going to look like
What’s the celebration you’re going to have every time you have a win during the HSC?
Are you going to go out and have dinner at your favourite restaurant or go to a party with your friends on the weekend or go to the movies?
Think about what your celebration ritual is going to be and let us know on the Art of Smart Facebook page or on our Instagram!
