P-Values is a part of the VCE Specialist Maths topic Probability and Statistics and subtopic Hypothesis Testing. A p-value is a number used in statistical testing. It is used to determine the probability that a result has occurred by chance. When using a p-value, there is always a hypothesis which needs to be proven.
In this section, we look at using the p-value to determine if the mean value is statistically different from another set of data.
So How Do I Use a P-Value?
Watch this video to gain a deep understanding of what a p-value is and how to use it.
This next video looks at using statistical tests and p-values.
