Null and Alternative Hypothesis is a part of the VCE Specialist Maths topic Probability and Statistics and subtopic Hypothesis Testing. In this post, we look at the formulation of both null and alternate hypothesis and their relation to statistical testing.
- Null hypothesis: there is no relationship and significance between two sets of data.
- Alternate hypothesis: there is a relationship and significance between two sets of data.
