This lesson is on Effects of Magnetic Fields, which is part of Unit 3 Area of Study 1 for VCE Physics.
Circular Motion in a Magnetic Field
Charged particles act differently to that of an electric field. This is primarily because electrical fields are perpendicular to electrical fields.
This video will compare the interaction of charged particles moving in magnetic fields to the following:
- Uniform circular motion in magnetic fields
For this, we use the following equations:
\sum F = ma = q v B = m \frac{v^2}{r}Charged Particles Moving in Magnetic Fields
Charged particles act differently to that of an electric field. This is primarily because electrical fields are perpendicular to electrical fields.
The following videos will compare the interaction of charged particles moving in magnetic fields to the following:
- Interaction of charged particles with electric fields
- Examples of uniform circular motion
Electric VS magnetic fields
How charged particles move through an electric field
What happens to a charged particle moving in a magnetic field
Radius and time period of charges moving in magnetic field
