What makes Siddhant a Trailblazer?

Siddhant received the Gold Lasallian Youth Leader award after spending two years serving in his community and volunteering at his school’s charity events. Participating in the Lasallian Youth Leadership Program has been a rewarding experience for Siddhant and one that has brought him out of his comfort zone. His involvement in the community has facilitated interactions he never would have had before and given him a new perspective on life.

As Siddhant heard the stories of diverse individuals experiencing sickness, and poverty, he found himself being more grateful for his circumstances and keen to put in his all to the opportunities that come his way. He’s changed lives through his work, fundraising for Pink Stumps Day,  collecting blankets and clothing for St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal and raising money to fund the Breakfast Club in Papua New Guinea. In doing so, Siddhant has learnt how to persevere and enjoys the fulfilment he receives from helping others!

Siddhant unfortunately lost one of his close friends to suicide during Year 12. After an already difficult year lacking social connection and disruption to his studies, the impact of his friend’s death was strongly felt. This experience in combination with others prompted Siddhant to reflect and achieve his personal best.

Siddhant has dreamed of becoming a lawyer ever since he was in Year 4. While people may have expected this goal to wane, he has only continued to become more interested in the field and is set on studying Law at university with the desire to continue helping others. With the wisdom that, “your first career is never your last”, Siddhant can see himself dabbling in politics and working for the United Nations one day.

As Siddhant works his way up, it’s not hard to see why we have named him one of our Top 50 Trailblazers!
