What makes Manasvi a Trailblazer?

Like all of our Trailblazers this year, Manasvi has shown an exceptional dedication to both her school work as well as her extracurricular activities! She has spent quite a lot of her time creating content for her photography Instagram page, volunteering as a videographer and cinematographer for community events, becoming a social justice figurehead at her school, and annually lending a hand at the Salvation Army’s ‘Red Shield Appeal Fundraiser’.

From a hobby that she started during the 2020 lockdown due to COVID, Manasvi’s photography Instagram page now has over 5000 followers who support her art! These followers are not only from Australia, but include an international audience, giving her the reach to continue producing work as an emerging artist and photographer.

She spends many hours taking her photos and editing them to perfection, ensuring that the content that she creates is up to the standard that her audience expects! Her work and story serves as inspiration for other young people who are interested in the arts and have a passion that they would like to develop. Manasvi herself first started to develop her skills through an online course on photography and cinematography which she started in 2019!

This experience as a content creator and her journey with developing her photography skills has taught her a variety of lessons — the most prominent being that it was the mistakes she made along the way with her photography that allowed her to create her unique style — developing herself as an artist and allowing her to share her art with the world! What makes this achievement even more amazing is that Manasvi developed this page whilst maintaining other extracurriculars, completing Year 12 and enduring an extended COVID lockdown!

“Mistakes are considered as instructional challenges in the creative and innovative mentality. … This mindset has equipped me to employ this skill when making my daily/insignificant decisions and also the life changing ones.”

The past few years had been challenging, especially with COVID. On top of everything that Manasvi was doing academically and outside of school, financial hardship placed extra emotional stress onto her. Despite this, Manasvi retained a positive attitude towards all aspects of her life, looking for ways that she could improve the situation where she could.

Manasvi hopes to enter the field of computer science. After the completion of her degree, she would love to work for a reputable company and take on the role of a project manager in the long term!

Manasvi has shown perseverance, creativity and grit dedicating her time not only to her academics, but to giving back to the community in her own unique way, and this is why she is one of our Top 50 Trailblazers!
