What makes Chahed a Trailblazer?

Chahed clearly has an intense drive for learning and leadership, having attended the United Nations Conference twice! Outside of diplomacy, she has done over 80 hours of nursing work experience on a work-placement at Bankstown Hospital, offering care and support to patients. This was part of an out-of-school programme that provided her with valuable skills in a care-giving role. Chahed also learned valuable skills through this placement on how to manage patients who are going through difficult times, the simple act of her presence and care providing people with comfort.

Chahed has proven herself to be a versatile student and is active in her community, getting involved in social work programs, many school leadership roles, school newspapers, sports and drama productions. Chahed has also competed twice in national and state STEM competitions, a considerable achievement in the STEM field. With all of these achievements under her belt, Chahed’s most significant one was attending the United Nations State Conference. Her presence at this event was highly beneficial in honing her leadership and communication skills — an experience that she was incredibly appreciative of, and is unlikely to forget.

At the United Nations State Conference, Chahed learned about the behind-the-scenes actions on how government policies and legislation are implemented, and gained insight to real world law-making and diplomacy. Chahed is grateful that she was able to contribute to this conference — an accomplishment that is well worthy of being recognised as a Trailblazer!

With all this being said, it must be a challenge to juggle all of this outside work and Year 12. Maintaining a healthy balance between school life and outside life is not an easy task, but it is a task that Chahed has had to overcome in Year 12, navigating and balancing both school work and extracurriculars. With all the external work that Chahed does, keeping up with the Year 12 workload is a must! No matter what challenges Chahed goes through in Year 12, we are sure she will persevere!

Chahed hopes to become an entrepreneur in the future, with her dedication to leadership, and development of those fundamental skills that a great leader possesses, helping her to achieve that goal.

“Being a leader is a fantastic and exciting role, but it comes with a lot of responsibilities and responsibilities that demand a lot of time and effort to achieve.”

Chahed has demonstrated a fierce commitment to leadership, leading positive change throughout her community. It is for this reason that she is one of our Top 50 Trailblazers!
