Science was first taught at the University of Sydney in 1852, with the Science Faculty being officially established in 1882.  

At the University of Sydney, you can choose to major in areas like food science, agriculture and even nanoscience within your three-year Bachelor of Science degree!

The degree also has a Mathematics prerequisite, meaning that students admitted into the course need to have achieved a Band 4 in Mathematics Advanced, or a Band E3 in Mathematics Extension 1 or 2.

Additionally, applicants must have a VCE study score (or its equivalent) of at least 25 in Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics, and in one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics or at least 25 in both Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics.
