Workshop Teacher

Emily is an amazing Senior Coach and mathematics expert currently studying a Bachelor of Advanced Computing / Bachelor of Science at the University of Sydney. She graduated high school with an ATAR of 99.3, placing her within the top 0.7% of the state! She utilises her extensive experience teaching Maths and her tertiary knowledge to help students approach problems in a way that suits their individual learning style. Workshop Teacher

Tiana is a Senior Advanced Mathematics Coach and a seriously experienced coach and mentor. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Pharmacology at the University of New South Wales where she continues to extend her problem solving  skill and maths knowledge. In this Year 12 Kickstarter workshop, we’re going to help you master what you’ve learnt so far so you’re ready for the Year 12 course, while also kickstarting you into 2021 content so you can hit the ground confident and ahead in Term 1 of Year 12!

We’re going to help you:

  • Review the most challenging and important parts of the Year 12 course so far
  • Learn integration techniques, inverse functions and trigonometry which you will need in the Year 12 course
  • Get confident with simple harmonic motions, projectile motion, binomial theorem and perms + combs

Workshop Teacher

Mairead is a senior AOS coach and an extremely skilled mathematician. She graduated with an ATAR of 99.85, placing in the top 0.15% of the state and even coming 1st in NSW for some subjects! Mairead was also Dux of her school and through extensive tutoring experience, has become an expert at teaching assessment preparation and complex problem solving skills for 3U Mathematics.

Adrian is a qualified high school teacher, who has a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Chemistry at the University of Sydney. Adrian was awarded the University Medal in both Physics and Chemistry at Sydney University, for coming 1st in the university. He has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of Queensland where he was awarded the Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence. Adrian is Head of Sciences at Art of Smart, and is very passionate about teaching and would like to see all students reach their full potential. Adrian has 5 years teaching experience supporting students across Chemistry, Physics and Maths, both in leading classes in schools and at our Hornsby Campus, as well as 1 on 1.

Workshop Teacher

Ken has a PhD with a focus on Biology as well as a Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Technology Sydney. Ken has over 5 years of teaching experience supporting students from small classes through to workshops of over 150 students! With the new HSC Science syllabi bringing in concepts from a University level, Ken brings his extensive post-graduate knowledge into the HSC course to help students excel!

In these workshops, we’re going to help you master the most difficult areas of the Economics course, and then introduce you to your 2021 content so you have a head start!

Workshop Teacher

Adrian is a qualified high school teacher, who has a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Chemistry at the University of Sydney. Adrian was awarded the University Medal in both Physics and Chemistry at Sydney University, for coming 1st in the university. He has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of Queensland where he was awarded the Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence. Adrian is Head of Sciences at Art of Smart, and is very passionate about teaching and would like to see all students reach their full potential. Adrian has 5 years teaching experience supporting students across Chemistry, Physics and Maths, both in leading classes in schools and at our Hornsby Campus, as well as 1 on 1.

Workshop Teacher

Patrick Sparke is a dedicated English educator, a seasoned teacher and a much loved staple at our Art of Smart Campus. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education and is less than a year from becoming a fully qualified high school teacher! Workshop Teacher

Brooklyn is our Head of English at Art of Smart Education, and has a Bachelor of Arts (English Literature) (Honours) from Sydney University. She has extensive English teaching experience, supporting over 100+ students through the HSC via both classes and 1 on 1 support. Emily is an amazing Senior Coach and mathematics expert currently studying a Bachelor of Advanced Computing / Bachelor of Science at the University of Sydney. She graduated high school with an ATAR of 99.3, placing her within the top 0.7% of the state! She utilises her extensive experience teaching Maths and her tertiary knowledge to help students approach problems in a way that suits their individual learning style. Brooklyn is our Head of English at Art of Smart Education, and has a Bachelor of Arts (English Literature) (Honours) from Sydney University. She has extensive English teaching experience, supporting over 100+ students through the HSC via both classes and 1 on 1 support. She is the co-host of the online TV Show, The HSC English Literature Program which features in-depth analysis on HSC English Prescribed Texts, and is a new HSC English Syllabus Expert.


Year 9-10 How to Ace Creative Writing

In years 9 or 10 and have absolutely no idea how to write a creative story? Feel like you’re not creative enough? Or perhaps you just don’t know where to start?

In this workshop during the school holidays, one of our experienced English tutors is going to show you how to craft an amazing creative piece!

Year 10 Mathematics Kickstarter

Want to consolidate what you’ve learnt so far in highschool mathematics? Want to head into Year 10 confident?

In this workshop during the school holidays, one of our experienced Mathematics tutors is going to give students a headstart for Year 10 Mathematics in 2021!

We will help you:

  • Get a hold of graphing linear equations

  • Ace algebra skills and financial maths

  • Wrap your head around shapes and volume

  • Get an introduction to parabolas, complicated index laws and bearings

Why is it important to master this now? 

Not only do these concepts form the basis for year 10, 11 and year 12 Mathematics, but also provide the knowledge necessary to study for other subjects such as Physics, Economics and Chemistry further down the track. That’s why it’s imperative to have a good understanding of what we teach in this workshop heading into 2021.

Marco is Art of Smart’s resident New HSC Syllabus Standard Maths Expert! He is currently in his final year of a Bachelor of Aviation (Flying) at UNSW, and has supported over 50+ students over the last 2.5 years in both classes and 1 on 1 support. Marco has taught a wide range of students with a range of different learning styles and is a fantastic Mathematics communicator, making the most challenging simple for students to understand.
