If you then score very highly in the external exams (high Band 6 results), the way moderation of your internal marks works is that your external mark will become (if you ranked 1st internally), your internal mark.
This way, you are in control of 100% of your mark, and the rest of your cohort (which may not perform as well and otherwise impact moderation of your internal marks) won’t impact you.
