2 Minute Study Hack: How to Transform Your Study & Kill Procrastination!

Wondering how you can study better and stop procrastination from taking over?

We’ve all been there — you start by watching a funny cat video on YouTube — fast forward one hour and you’re still watching videos on YouTube and haven’t even started what’s on your to-do list.

But there’s good news! We’ve got a simple hack that will help you transform your study and kill procrastination so you can start making the most of your time!

Let’s take a look, there’s no more time to procrastinate.

Step 1: Identify the task you’re procrastinating on

This is a very simple step. You just have to identify what it is on your to-do list that you’re avoiding!

Step 2: Set a 2 minute timer and work

Pull out your phone (no scrolling through Instagram in the meantime) and set a 2-minute timer.

Whatever it is on your to-do list that you keep procrastinating on is exactly what you’re going to start with. You’re going to work on that task for just 2 minutes (which is nothing!).

And that’s it!

It’s really as simple as that. It will help you tackle all the tasks that you keep putting off. Sounds great, right?

But perhaps you’re thinking, it sounds good in theory but probably won’t work in practice.

Well, there is actually one powerful reason as to why the 2-minute study hack works so well.

Why does it work?

We usually procrastinate because something is too overwhelming — we don’t know where or how to start so we instead do something else because it’s too hard. It usually means you’ll leave the task for the next day which turns into the next one and next.

But with the 2-minute study hack, it makes what seems like a huge, daunting task, a lot, lot smaller. You only have to spend two minutes on the task — not two hours. It helps you to make a start on the task you’ve been avoiding.

Now, this is the good part — you’ll probably end up working longer than two minutes on the task. Perhaps you’ll do an extra ten minutes or even 30 minutes before you get stuck, give up and start procrastinating again. But that’s a win because it’s at least 2 minutes, maybe even 30 minutes longer than you would have done if you hadn’t used the 2-minute hack.

It’s time to go and try the 2-minute hack out! Remember it’s only 2 minutes so identify what task you’ve been avoiding and try it out!
