In this post, we establish and use logarithmic laws and definitions, as a part of the QCE Maths Methods course under the topic The Logarithmic Function 2 and sub-part Logarithmic Laws and Logarithmic Functions.

  • Product Rule: [katex] log(x \times y) = log(x) + log(y) [/katex]
  • Quotient Rule: [katex] log(\frac{x}{y}) = log(x) – log(y) [/katex]
  • Log of Power Rule: [katex] log( x^{y} ) = y \times log(y) [/katex]
