# Logarithmic Laws

In this post, we establish and use logarithmic laws and definitions, as a part of the QCE Maths Methods course under the topic The Logarithmic Function 2 and sub-part Logarithmic Laws and Logarithmic Functions.

• Product Rule: log(x \times y) = log(x) + log(y)
• Quotient Rule: log(\frac{x}{y}) = log(x) - log(y)
• Log of Power Rule: log( x^{y} ) = y \times log(y)
