Introduction to Redox Reactions

What are Redox Reactions?

This post will be an introduction to redox reactions for QCE Chemistry.

3.2.1 – Redox Reactions

  • Recognise that a range of reactions, including displacement reactions of
metals, combustion, corrosion, and electrochemical processes, can be
modelled as redox reactions involving oxidation of one substance and
    reduction of another substance

Redox Reactions

Redox reactions are reactions that involve a reduction (gain of electrons) and oxidation (loss of electrons) process. These processes will become clearer as you go through the following posts.

This video introduces redox reactions.
