This topic is apart of the HSC Physics syllabus Module 5: Advanced Mechanics.
Learn to investigate the orbital motion of planets and artificial satellites when applying the relationships between the following quantities:
- Orbital Period
The formula for the orbital period is the following:
T = \sqrt{Â \frac{4 \pi^2 r^2}{GM}}- G is the gravitational constant
- M is the mass of the planet
- r is the radius
- T is the orbital period
