Learn to investigate the orbital motion of planets and artificial satellites when applying the relationships between the following quantities:

  • Orbital Period

The formula for the orbital period is the following:

T = \sqrt{  \frac{4 \pi^2 r^2}{GM}}
  • G is the gravitational constant
  • M is the mass of the planet
  • r is the radius
  • T is the orbital period
