Mutually Exclusive

What does mutually exclusive mean?

In this post, we understand the notion of independence of an event A from an event B , as defined by P(A|B) = P(A) , as a part of the Prelim Maths Advanced course under the topic Statistical Analysis and sub-part Probability and Venn diagrams, specifically mutually exclusive events. Mutually exclusive events are two events that cannot occur at the end time.

Examples of mutually exclusive events

The following two videos are examples of mutually exclusive events, that can be easily understood.

Part 1: Cards

Part 2: Dice
