Magnetic Flux Change

This point is part of the HSC Physics syllabus Module 6: Electromagnetism under Electromagnetic Induction.

Magnetic flux is the measurement of the total magnetic field which passes through a given area.

Magnetic Flux can change due to a few factors which include:

  • The area the flux is measured in (A)
  • The angle of the field (theta)
  • The intensity of the field (B)
\phi = B A cos(\theta)
  • Phi is the magnetic flux
