An Overview of Labour Market Institutions

This post will help you to understand the importance and role that labour market institutions have in the overall labour market, as part of your Prelim Economics syllabus. Labour market institutions are usually thought of as policymaking institutions that interfere with wage and employment determination. They include:

  • Unions;
  • Employer associations; and
