  • Conduct practical investigations to determine the concentrations of solutions and investigate the different ways in which concentrations are measure

 

Introducing Concentration

Concentration is essentially the abundance of a certain compound in a solution. Higher concentration means higher abundance, so higher numbers of compound per volume unit of solution. This video below shows how colour may be an indicator for different levels of concentration. (note that the practical that you may do in class won’t rely on colour as an indicator)
