Initial Value of the Exponential Model

Exponential Growth and Decay is exactly how it sounds, growth and decay of something (usually population) using the exponential function! The initial value is the time at which time is zero. This is part of the Prelim Maths Extension 1 Syllabus from the topic Calculus: Rates of Change. In this post, we will explore Exponential growth and decay Initial value.

To find the initial value we have to prove it sub substituting the variable as zero (usually time)! This shows us that the coefficient of the exponential is the initial value (in most cases). Let’s have a look at an example.
