What are x-intercepts?

In this post, we learn to recognise that solving the equation f(x) = 0 corresponds to finding the values of x for which the graph of y = f(x) cuts the x-axis, also known as the x-intercepts. This is part of the Prelim Maths Advanced course under the topic Working with Functions and sub-part Introduction to Functions, specifically focusing on finding the x-intercepts.
